Today, on the 112th anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, agencies from around California have gathered together to demonstrate the variety of capabilities and mutual aid operability of local and regional mobile command units. With upwards of 30 mobile command and communication units on display – in addition to standing demonstrations of mobile units – classroom presentations are being offered; including coverage of the 1906 earthquake, relative to todayās earthquake preparedness, as well as coverage of the 2017 California wildfires.
Whether it be an earthquake, fire, power outage, or all the above, having a reliable communications plan is crucial to deployment efforts.
